Can Weight Watchers Stop Losing Big?
Having more physical products for sale could benefit Weight Watchers. Competitor Herbalife posted third-quarter product volume growth of 13% with revenue and EPS at $1.2 billion and $1.41, respectively. Herbalife sells nutritional products primarily focused around shakes that are sold through a multilevel-marketing model. The company is also the target of Bill Ackman’s one-man war. Ackman considers Herbalife a pyramid scheme and has called for the government to shut the company down. Herbalife will report fourth-quarter earnings on Feb.
